Unfortunately we are forced to inform you that the Lommel Trophy will not take place.
Since the outbreak of the Corona virus we have followed the developments closely. For a long time we hoped that the event could take place. However, the outbreak has only worsened in recent months, resulting in the cancellation of the Lommel Trophy.
We are very sorry for you and our partners in the first place. We would have liked to offer you a challenging sports weekend. All clubs have been informed by now. If you still have questions, please contact your Euro-Sportring contact person.
Euro-Sportring thanks you for your trust, supporting messages and understanding. We will make sure that in 2021 there will be a new tournament program ready for you.

Voor het 26ste jaar staat tijdens het pinksterweekend in Lommel het internationaal jeugdvoetbaltornooi “Lommel Trophy” op het programma.
Voetbalclubs KFC Kattenbos en Lutlommel VV organiseren jaarlijks dit tornooi waaraan clubs uit diverse Europese landen deelnemen. De vele deelnemers kijken steeds tevreden terug op hun verblijf in het mooie en gezellige Lommel.
Zowel KFC Kattenbos alsook Lutlommel VV beschikken elk over een prachtige accommodatie met meerdere goed onderhouden grasvelden, voldoende kleedkamers en een ruime, gezellige kantine. De terreinen liggen ongeveer 6 km van elkaar en met de wagen is het ongeveer 10 minuten rijden.
Elke deelnemend team speelt een 6-tal wedstrijden, verdeeld over de 2 dagen. Afhankelijk van de poule-indeling wordt bepaald op welke locatie er gespeeld wordt. Het is onze betrachting dat iedere ploeg per dag op één locatie zijn wedstrijden kan afwerken.
Nadat de finalewedstrijden gespeeld zijn, volgt de prijsuitreiking. Per categorie krijgt het winnende team een mooie trofee mee naar huis. Aangezien “fair play” hoog aangeschreven staat in Lommel wordt hiervoor nog een aparte trofee uitgereikt.
Naast de wedstrijden is er op zaterdagavond een beach party voorzien op Lutlommel VV waaraan elk team kan deelnemen.
Net als voorgaande jaren rekenen we erop dat er weer heel wat deelnemers uit diverse landen zullen komen om zich te meten met de Belgische teams. Uiteraard hopen we op een fantastische en vooral sportieve editie 2019.
Wij kijken er alvast naar uit om jullie te verwelkomen in Lommel!

Tornooicoördinatoren KFC Kattenbos en Lutlommel VV
26 years already, during the Whitsun weekend in Lommel, the international youth football tournament "Lommel Trophy" is on the program.
Footballclubs KFC Kattenbos and Lutlommel VV organize this annual tournament in which clubs from various European countries particepate. Many participants are satisfied when they look back on their stay in the beautiful and charming Lommel.
Both KFC Kattenbos and Lutlommel VV own a beautiful property with several well kept fields, adequate changing rooms and a spacious, cozy canteen. The grounds are about 6 km apart: By car approximately 10 minutes drive.
Each participating team will play about 6 games spread over the two days. Depending on the group format is determined at which location is being played. It is our aim that every shift per day can finish his races at one location.
The finals will be followed by the award ceremony. The winning team of each category recieves a trophy to take home. Because Fair Play is of great importance in Lommel we hand out a special Fair Play trophy.
Besides the races we provide a beach party at Lutlommel VV to which each team can participate, on saturday evening.
Like previous years, we expect a lot of participants from different countries. Of course we hope for a fantastic and sporty edition in 2019!!
